Description
Our Tempranillo comes from both Rioja and Ribera del Duero clones custom planted at various sites in the Yakima Valley. This wine is akin to the style of Rioja with secondary aromatics of mushroom, forest floor and leather. The must was fermented on skins for two weeks and was barrel aged in French and American oak for 19 months. The wine exhibits pretty aromas of dried herbs, game and tart cherry with hints of forest floor and some citrus notes. In the palate the wine is medium bodied with juicy mouthfeel soft tannin and a lingering finish.
